GAS TURBINE ENGINE Rolls-Royce Allison Model 501-KB5 gas
turbine engines designed to operate on natural gas. Both engines
were 'zero time overhauled' in 1999 by a Rolls-Royce appointed Authorized
Maintenance Center (AMC). Rated Engine speed: 14,250

- Baseplate: Fabricated structural steel with
machined mounting pads for rotating equipment.
- Weather-tight Acoustic Enclosure: Bolted post and beam
framework, designed for a weighted average noise level of 85dBA three feet
from the enclosure in a free field.
- Maintenance Crane: A turbine maintenance crane is
included that is suitable for engine or module removal from the unit.
- Common Lube/Oil System: Both units include a 100%
capacity shaft driven main lube oil pump, a/c motor-driven pre/post lube
pump, oil cooler, cartridge type oil filter with differential pressure
indicator and alarm, and a lube oil reservoir contained within the base
structure with immersion heater, temperature control, level gauge, level
switch and tank vent with coalesce element.
- Both units incorporate a CO2 fire suppressant system for
the gas turbine generator enclosure which includes detectors, discharge
nozzles, fire shutter louvers on all intake and discharge openings, a
warning beacon, warning placards, a control panel located disable key
switch, a gas detection system which includes panel mounted monitor and
gas sensors in the turbine engine compartment, as well as U.V. detectors,
mounted in the turbine engine enclosure area.
- Both units incorporate a turbine generator control system including NEMA 1 Control panel, complete with programmable logic controller, operator interface unit, alarms and shutdowns, vibration monitoring system, temperature monitoring system, governor and automatic voltage regulator and other miscellaneous items.
